The most common challenge is that iChat AV (for Mac OS X Panther 10.3 or later) automatically launches whenever the camera is inserted or the lens cap is opened, thus taking over the software driver.
First, make sure iChat is not running, as well as any other programs that utilize the camera, then enter your Meeting room.
While in the meeting, before using the Camera and Voice Pod, unplug your iSight camera from the firewire port, make sure the lens cap is in the open position, then immediately plug it back in. Note: For iMac/PowerBook models with a built-in iSight, you may need to deactivate then re-activate the camera. Please consult your Macintosh OSX system documentation if you are unsure how to do this.
When you plug the iSight into a firewire port, the operating system will normally launch the iChat application. If this occurs, force-quit the iChat application. You will know when no other applications are accessing the iSight as the green 'on air' light will turn off.
Return to your active meeting and choose 'Select Camera..' from the Meeting drop-down menu.
You will now be presented with the Flash Player's camera configuration dialog window.
If your iSight is a stand-alone Firewire type of device, the camera is generally attached via the 'IIDC FireWire Video' driver. Select this to start your camera.
If your iSight is the built-in or USB type, the camera is generally attached via the 'USB Video Class Video' or similar driver. Select this to start your camera.
Once this is done, click the 'Start my camera and voice' button in the Camera pod.
The Flash component may prompt you to allow the add-in to use your camera and microphone. If it does, click on the 'Allow' button. You should now observe the iSight's green 'on air' light turn on.
